Addressing histomorphology as well as effector and regulatory cells in situ, TPZ3 will provide histopathological support to all research projects within the SFB650 working with mouse models or human tissue samples. Already developed scores evaluating histomorphological changes and scores to be developed for models newly introduced to the SFB650 will be applied with the advantages of centralization: comparability, correlation and comparison. Histomorphological assessment will be complemented with the evaluation of in-situ localization and characterisation of functional cells of innate and adapted immunity using immunohistochemistry and –fluorescence.
